We are looking for a Software Engineering Group Lead to join Adacel Technologies Estonian remote tower team. We are developing world-class novel technologies for remote air traffic control integrating radars, cameras, and radio that comms into AI enabled surveillance system of airports. The Group Lead is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects providing supervision leadership for the engineering staff assigned under the Head of Engineering Manager. Supervise and monitor team and individual performance, identifying strengths, development areas, and potential risks by the setting of clear team-level goals and objectives. Maintains familiarity and optimizes engineering processes. Working with the project lead, monitors the scheduling, progress and budget, and coordinates software projects to ensure successful delivery within Engineering's stated Estimate at Completion (EAC). Supports the project lead for required statuses (ETC projections, schedule deviations and risk). Supports the project lead in maintaining engineering’s branch progression plan. Promotes the stability and quality levels of the products. Prioritizes and coordinates resolution of technical issues. Coordinates resources to ensure proper staffing and skill availability for projects are maintained. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Previous successful Software Development and Group Lead experience. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Excellent critical thinking skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Proven Leader and a team player with excellent technical and communication skills. Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Knowledge of applicable programming languages. Knowledge of applicable frameworks, libraries, and APIs. Knowledge of domain-specific topics including ATM; simulation, and speech recognition. Good spoken and written English and Estonian. Ability to travel on a frequent basis without advance notice.
