About the role Our SRE teams are dealing with a range of different challenges, from managing our services that keep Bolt backend services running to optimizing our cloud infrastructure. The SRE Platform team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and scalability of Bolt's backend services. As a Site Reliability Engineer on the Platform team, you will work towards building an ever more resilient and scalable platform for engineering teams to build on. You'll tackle a range of challenges — from managing services that keep Bolt's backend running to optimising cloud infrastructure — ensuring reliability, availability, and scalability at scale. Main tasks and responsibilities: Develop automation and implement internal systems. Participate in architectural discussions to select the best long-term solutions, collaborating with SRE and Software Engineers. Implement new systems and tune existing ones to improve reliability, availability, scalability, or reduce costs. Ensure all main services are measured, monitored, and covered by alerting systems. Troubleshoot production system issues. Participate in on-call activities for the most critical parts of the infrastructure, helping to solve incidents in a no-blame culture. About you: You have in-depth knowledge of Linux troubleshooting, including networking, filesystems, security, and the kernel. You have a solid understanding of large-scale distributed systems. You are experienced with AWS services such as EC2 and EKS. You have experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
