About Bolt Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries. From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding. And we're just getting started. Why join Bolt? Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities. Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth. Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry. Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia. About the role As a Senior IT Business Analyst embedded in Bolt's Finance Engineering / Automations team, you will be the key link between financial stakeholders, regulatory requirements, and engineering teams. Your primary responsibility is to translate complex financial legislation, compliance obligations, and business needs into clear, structured, and traceable system requirements. You will work closely with Accounting, Tax, Controlling, Reporting, and Procurement teams, as well as engineering and product teams, ensuring that automations built at Bolt are compliant, reliable, and well-documented. Your work will directly impact Bolt's financial compliance and sustainability by helping automate critical processes and reduce significant compliance risks across global markets. Main tasks and responsibilities Gather, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements from financial stakeholders using BABOK-aligned techniques: interviews, workshops, surveys, observation, and document analysis. Analyse regulatory and legislative documents (e.g. e-invoicing directives, fiscalization laws, VAT regulations) to extract actionable system requirements. Translate business and regulatory needs into clear user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and as-is/to-be process flows for engineering teams. Maintain structured, versioned documentation and requirements traceability in Confluence and Jira. Act as the primary point of contact between Finance, Product, Engineering, and QA — managing expectations, scope, priorities, sign-offs, and risks throughout the delivery lifecycle. Support agile delivery: clarify requirements mid-sprint, support UAT, verify delivered features, and help triage defects. About you You have solid hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role in technology or engineering projects. You have practical knowledge of BABOK or related business analysis practices, including elicitation, requirements analysis, traceability, and stakeholder management. You have domain knowledge in Finance, with an understanding of financial processes, accounting, compliance, or similar finance-related areas. You have experience working with regulatory or legislative documents as a primary source of system or business requirements. You have proven ability to write high-quality functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams. You are confident working with diverse stakeholders: you understand their needs, challenge assumptions, guide them toward effective solutions, and act like an owner by managing priorities, alignment, and documentation.
