About Bolt Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries. From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding. And we're just getting started. Why join Bolt? Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities. Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth. Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry. Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia. About the role At our core, we enable commerce – and behind every transaction on our platform sits a complex web of financial data that needs to be accurate, compliant, and available to the people who depend on it. We're building the analytical foundations that make marketplace finances legible, trustworthy, and actionable at scale. As a Data Analytics Manager in Billing, you'll own the team responsible for making sense of how money moves through our platform. From marketplace financial data that powers decisions across the company, to platform-level metrics that measure operational health, to complex regulatory reporting like DAC7 – your team is the one others turn to when they need the numbers to be right. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage a small team of analysts while still getting deep into the data yourself – designing models, setting technical standards, and solving the kinds of problems where production data needs to reconcile down to the cent with financial records. You'll work across Finance, Fraud, Payments, Compliance, Product, and Operations, often under pressure and with competing priorities. It's a role for someone who thrives in high-stakes, compliance-heavy environments and knows how to bring structure to chaos without losing speed. You'll sit in the Billing group within Commerce, alongside product and engineering teams building the systems your data describes. Main tasks and responsibilities Lead and develop a team of analysts, setting high technical standards and coaching them toward senior-level thinking – not just in SQL, but in how to approach problems. Own the reliability and integrity of billing-related data models, reporting foundations, and financial datasets used across the company. Serve as the go-to person for finance-related data topics across Commerce – tax reporting, payout reconciliation, audits, and financial investigations all land on your desk. Handle complex data requests from internal stakeholders (Finance, Ops, Product) and external counterparties, often with tight deadlines and high expectations. Drive platform-level regulatory reporting (e.g. DAC7) and ensure billing data stays compliant as tax rules, pricing logic, and product lines evolve. Build structured operational processes – clear SLAs, prioritisation frameworks, and support workflows – so the team can deliver reliably without firefighting. About you You have strong technical depth in SQL and data modelling, and you're recent enough with it to coach others and review their work critically. You've worked with financial data before – you know what an invoice is, you've chased cents across systems, and you understand what it means to map production data to financial records. You can handle noisy, high-pressure stakeholder environments where the deadline was yesterday and everyone's ask feels urgent. You've led projects or teams before – formal management experience is a plus, but what matters most is that you can set direction, uplift people, and hold a high bar. You think structurally about problems: you'd rather build the right data model than answer the same ad-hoc question three times. You're comfortable operating at the intersection of data, finance, and compliance – and you don't need someone to translate between those worlds for you. Why you’ll love it here Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities. Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you. Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks. Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge. Some perks may differ depending on your location and role. At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there’s a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You’re still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools. Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying! Everyone is welcome Bolt is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, colour, nationality, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
